Big Tech Program

BiG Tech assists nongovernmental organisations and charities by offering access to the software donation programs of our donor partners. We support these organisations to conserve their ICT budget and help them make the most of their ICT purchases and infrastructure.

Our program is delivered in India by NASSCOM Foundation in partnership with TechSoup. Both NASSCOM Foundation and TechSoup are nongovernmental organisations. This program is made possible by generous donations from technology product manufacturers like Microsoft who wish to help the NGO sector. On this website you are not ordering a product, you are requesting a product donation from one of our donor partners.

As such, we are responsible for making sure the donation guidelines of our donor partners are consistently and accurately applied. To help us do this, we will request information about you and your organisation that may be different from the information you furnish to a for-profit e-commerce site. Requesting a technology donation through our program will involve a multi-stage process on our website:

1. Register your organisation: We will request details that will enable us to assess your eligibility to receive donations from our donor partners. In all cases you will need to be approved as an Income Tax Exempt organisation by the Government of India. In addition as per GOI rule organization must have FCRA certification in order to avail this facility. You will be asked to choose your services from a list of service types so we can match what you do to the types of services donor partners want to support. We will notify you if you are eligible to proceed to the next stage. This should be a one-time registration and will only be repeated if your organisation's details change.

2. Request a donation and pay an administrative fee: If we notify you that you are eligible to request a donation, you will be able to select the products you would like to receive and to pay a small administrative fee, via Payment Method, to have your requests fulfilled. This fee covers our administrative costs in delivering the program. Please plan carefully before making requests because in most cases our donor partner restrictions limit you to one request per donating partner per year.

3. Delivery of your donated products: Once your administrative fee payment is processed by Payment Method, we will submit your approved request for donation with the donor partners providing the products you requested.Once again, welcome to BiG Tech!
